Chicken kondattam
Ingredients
For Chicken fry
- Chicken-1kg
- Rice powder-3tsp
- Chilly powder-3tsp
- Coriander powder-2tsp
- Turmeric powder-2tsp
- Salt-2tsp
- lemon juice-1 lemon
- Water-as required
- Oil-for frying
For Kondattom
- Fenugreek-1tsp
- Fennel seed-1tsp
- Cumin seed -1tsp
- Finely chopped garlic-2tsp
- Finely chopped ginger -2tsp
- Onion-1cup
- Chilly flakes grinded -3tsp
- Garam masala-2tsp
- Tomato-2 cup
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Garlic paste-1tsp
- Ginger paste-1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Tomato sauce-3tsp
- Oil
- Coconut strips(Thengakothu)-1 cup
- Red Chilli flakes
Method
- Fenugreek-1tsp
- Fennel seed-1tsp
- Cumin seed -1tsp
- Finely chopped garlic-2tsp
- Finely chopped ginger -2tsp
- Onion-1cup
- Chilly flakes grinded -3tsp
- Garam masala-2tsp
- Tomato-2 cup
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Garlic paste-1tsp
- Ginger paste-1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Tomato sauce-3tsp
- Oil
- Coconut strips(Thengakothu)-1 cup
- Red Chilli flakes
- Cut and clean the chicken very well .
- Take a bowl and add rice powder,chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder ,salt and add some lemon juice then mix the masala well .Next add the chicken and marinate the masala on the chicken very well.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chickens in low flame and keep aside .
- Take some of the oil from the chicken fry pan and keep some for other purpose.
- Again hot the excess oil in the same pan and first add fenugreek .then add cumin seed ,fennel seed ,finely chopped garlic ,finely chopped ginger then saute them and add sliced onions and again saute in a low flame .add some red chilly flakes grinded ,garam masala and mix well.
- Next add sliced tomato and add coriander leaves,curry leaves,garlic paste, ginger paste and add some salt to taste .Again saute them well and add little amount of tomato sauce .
- Hot a pan and pour some oil .then roast the coconut strips well and add some coriander leaves, curry leaves and red chilly flakes .Then por the mixture into our kondattam and mix the whole things .
- Close the pan and put some fire charcoal above and cook for more 5 minutes .
- Serve this into a plate and garnish with some more curry leaves and coriandel leaves .
