Ingredients
- Sugar-1 cup
- Water-1/4 cup
- Rice-1/2 cup
- Orange Colour
- Baking powder-2tsp
- Urad dal-4tbsp
Method
- Take and wash rice and urad dal and soak in water about 3 hour before making then nilavu.
- Drain the water and blend in blender like a smooth paste.
- Add some food colour to this mixture and mix well.
- Next make sugar syrup.Hot some water and sugar in a pan . Swithch off the stove till the sugar melt completely and it reaches the consistency.Keep aside .
- Hot some oil in a pan and fry the then nilavu.For this drop small amount of batter little by little into the pan and flip the sides.
- Dip the fried then nilavu in sugar syrup and soak .them about 5 minutes.
- Drain them and roll them in sugar crystals.Then serve the colourful then nilavu into a plate.
